by FCL on August 30, 2010

This is really cool and reminds me of making crayons in little molds (which I need to do with all of our broken crayons!).  It’s a chalk-making kit for just $3.24 (75% off $12.99).  You can make over 24 pieces of chalk!  There are also bead-making kits from the same company for $3.24.

These are only available online at Target.com, so you will have to pay shipping.  Search for Make Fun-Shaped Chalk Kit or SKU #242-09-8975.

Lowe’s is doing another kids workshop THIS SATURDAY, June 26th at 10am. It looks like you have to be one of the first 50 kids to sign up – hopefully for each location! Kids who complete the project (although I’m sure they’re fairly lenient on this!) will receive a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion! The project for this week is a wooden Monster Truck, complete with car punch-outs for knocking down!

Go HERE to reserve a spot for your child and make sure your Lowe’s is participating.

Don’t forget about this event this weekend!
Head over to Michael’s with your little American Girl fan to do a fun card making craft next Saturday, May 29th from 10am-1pm.
My experience with these is that you just drop by anytime during those hours and they show you how to do the craft.

Before you go, head over to Michael’s parents/kids site called The Knack HERE. There, you can sign up to receive emails about upcoming events and craft ideas as well as sale alerts and coupons. Plus, they have all kinds of ideas for getting creative with your kids on the web site itself.

Happy Crafting!
