See that bottle of vinegar sitting in the back of your kitchen pantry? How often do you use it? Maybe you only pull it out once in a while for the occasional recipe that calls for it as an ingredient but did you know there are literally dozens of vinegar uses? Let’s check out some of these great uses today and learn something new!
Use it to clean just about anything!
Can’t get that smell out of your bathroom sink? Maybe there is a stain on your carpet that just won’t come out. Try vinegar! You can make a simple mixture of half vinegar and half water to clean just about anything or if that doesn’t work…just try straight vinegar. For a super power cleaning mixture you can use vinegar with hydrogen peroxide or sprinkle baking soda on the stain/smell/dirt first and them spray with vinegar.
Clean stainless steel.
Make up a simple mixture of half vinegar and half water and spray on your stainless steel appliances. Wipes off with a clean soft towel until dry and watch everything shine!
Clean off waxy stains.
Did you burn a candle and are left with some waxy residue on your counter or table? Start by scraping off the majority of the wax and then wipe some vinegar over the area with a clean towel to remove the rest of the waxy spot.
*Bonus, you can also use vinegar to remove any stickiness just like Goo-Gone. Stickers, tags, or other things that just won’t come off will wipe clean with vinegar.
De-Ice your windows.
Be prepared for winter with a bottle of vinegar! De-ice your car windows and windshield by mixing 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water and spraying it on icy windows while you are heating up your car. Don’t forget the side mirrors!
There are so many other vinegar uses we can’t name them all! What are your favorite ones?
