Nielsen National Consumer Panel HomeScan allows you to influence manfucaturers and retailers. By scanning the items you purchase (from cereal at the store to a candy bar in a snack machine) retailers see where you shop, what you buy, etc.
The rewards are found in points. By signing up you earn 1,000 points. By scanning items each week, you are entered into weekly giveaways. There are monthly and quarterly giveaways as well. You also earn points towards rewards.
What do the Points Give Me?
Earn 150 points for uploading your buys, 100 for the survey on the store for where you shopped. If you shop at many stores a week, multiply the number of stores for which you shop by 250 in points! The longer you are a member, your points for scans increase. You’ll earn gift points that are redeemable for name-brand merchandise, including electronics equipment, jewelry, household items, toys, and much more.
