Freschetta Pizza vs The Local Pizza Shop

My husband and I are big pizza fans.  So much so that prior to kids, my husband would pass the local pizza shop every Thursday evening to pick up our order.  My half was always covered in green peppers and my husband’s portion, covered in pepperoni (since having kids my taste buds have gone that direction too.) With our change in lifestyle and me becoming a stay at home mom, our Thursday pizza dinners turned into monthly discounted pizza from national chains and then to into the oven box pizzas…still nothing quite tasted the same as the warm dough from the brick oven local pizzeria – mmmm!

So as months turned into years and years well, into more years, I still hunt for that perfect boxed pizza that matches the delights of my taste buds.  Along came our latest pizza taste test - Freschetta FlatBread .  What first excited this Frugal Coupon Mom was the price.  I found them on sale $10 for 2 at my local grocery store.  In comparison – a $15 local pizzeria pizza vs. the $4 Freschetta Pizza (with a $1 coupon). Sounds like a good savings to me!

My family and I went with the Classic Pepperoni.  The pizza was great!  The ingredients and the flavoring were actually very good.  Of course, the flatbread pizzas don’t have enough carbs for my taste, but they have a rising pizza that I am considering trying next. My 2-year old’s reaction: “More, please.”  My husband’s: “More, please.” as well.  And my reaction?  Well, I was one happy mother who had to do nothing more than slip a pizza stone and Freschetta Flatbread Pizza into the oven and find myself satisfied at the end of a meal.  If pepperoni is not your style, the Freschetta FlatBread has other great choices. Choose among the 5-Cheese, Roasted Garlic and Spinach, and the Zesty Italian.
