Congratulations, Jen M!

tiny tongs 4pack-1 LR
I was able to review Tinytongs this past week. My daughter, who is just discovering utensils, often reverts to her hands when it comes to dinner time. This causes for a lot of mess and clean up and also an abundance of napkins wasted. When I first received the tiny tongs, I appreciated their simplistic packaging – no pulling out the chainsaw to open this kid utensil. I noticed they were very easy to grip. They had ridges as well as a rubber/plastic exterior that would make it ideal for little hands. They reminded me immediately of baby chopsticks – just MUCH less complicated. The ends of the Tinytongs had small teeth that would aid in the griping of food. Best of all, these utensils are BPA and Phtalate Free!

Our first experience with the tiny tongs was over pasta (no this is not my sweet girl in the video). With my 17 month old just discovering utensils, the pasta was a bit slippery for her and the “grip, then pinch” motion was a little harder to pick up (no pun intended). I realized, however, if she is able to quickly pick other small 2 step directions, this would come in time. They are not something we will use every day for my 17 month old, but I do realize that once she ages a little and we grasp the hang of it, the Tinytongs will not only be kid friendly, but mom approved over regular forks. They might actually help more food get in my child’s mouth than on the floor!

I am excited that Frugal Coupon Living gets to give one very lucky reader their own experience with tiny tongs. Even if you don’t have kids, this could be a great addition to a child’s stocking or a shower gift.

I would like the Tiny Tongs because my daughter who just turned 2 is learning to maneuver a spoon and fork and tends to give up easily and just use her fingers. This would help her with her coordination of getting the food from the plate to her mouth and would be less messy. She would probably think it’s pretty fun, too!

  6. Betsy Hunhoff says:

I think they are a great idea. My daughter would love the pink ones. I checked the price on the website. $7.99 is a bit spendy for one but with a discount not so bad.

I visited the site! They look perfect for my daughter. she is 18mon and is having a hrd time with a spoon/fork! I think the little grips at the bottom will hold her food better and she will enjoy using them and she will actually eat vs w. a spoon most food ends up on the floor!
