Points to Goodies

by Frugal Coupon Living on October 14, 2009

Links are fixed. As I mentioned, this site has potential to bring in a lot of nice size freebies. Sorry about the broken links earlier, I am figuring out Word Press. Thanks for your patience.

Some of the best resources on the internet are those where you earn “points” to get FREE things.

There are THREE resources that I have found VERY USEFUL!

Swagbucks : You have heard me talk about Swagbucks many times (probably far too many.) I use Swagbucks as my search engine and earn points which I redeem toward Target, Amazon, Apple and many more gift cards. You can also use Swagbucks to earn other goodies besides cash (CDs, clothing, etc.) For me, gift cards are like money so they are my item of choice!

Tryology/Expo TV:  Tryology is a “word of mouth program.” Register Here and complete the entrance survey. In fact, you get 200 points just for completing your interests and this is also the best way to ensure that you are being considered for Tryology programs as they then try to match you with products. For reviews, you will receive a FREE full size product.  In exchange you agree to upload a short video (2000 points for the first one) onto their web site with your review. The products can range from just a few dollars (like FREE Cheer Detergent right now) to bigger ticket items like Blu Ray Disc Players or GPS systems! When new products come out, Tryology will send you a survey. Then, if you are selected, they will also notify you via email and you can either confirm your interest or pass. FYI – If you fail to upload your video, you will not be invited to future programs.  My thought – FREE products for a minute of your time!

Expo TV is married to Tryology – this is where you accumulate your points and turn them in for FREE products.  By filling out your survey and doing your first video, you are awarded an  immediate 2200 points  (you only need 600 points for a CVS gift card so that is $15 toward CVS!)

It appears, points will accumulate faster on Expo TV/Tryology  (compared to Swagbucks ), but you are required about 5 minutes worth of your time – taping a video and uploading (but in return you receive FREE products and points towards gifts.) Go Here to get started!

Both Tryology  and Expo TV, are 100% FREE- the reason they give you the free products is because large companies can gather a tremendous amount of information from you about their products. Like a huge virtual focus group.

Thanks, Charlene.

I JUST INSTALLED THE SWAGBUCKS — DO YOU ALSO USE THE SEARCH FOR LOOKING UP OTHER THINGS BESIDE PRODUCTS? SAY SOMETHING ABOUT DOGS, BOOKS (WHICH IS USUALLY DO ON AMAZON), HEALTH, ETC. ? DO YOU STILL GET SWAGBUCKS?

Tryology looks awesome! I just learned how to use my webcam to record and send videos, so I can participate in this. Too fun–thanks for sharing!

I am wondering who watches these videos??? Are you all over the Internet talking about laundry soap after you send in the video?? That makes me a little nervous.
